What is Head Start?
Head Start is a free kindergarten readiness preschool for 3 and 4 year olds in Sheboygan County. Head Start's goal is to improve the lives of income eligible children by providing quality comprehensive child development services that are family focused, including education, health, nutrition, and mental health. Family income must be at or below the federal poverty guideline though some exceptions may be made. Children must be 3 years of age by September 1st.
Classroom Options:
•3 1/2 hour classrooms (a.m or p.m.) Breakfast and Lunch (a.m.) or Lunch and snack (p.m.) provided.
•Full Day/Full Year Classes in Collaboration with Childcare.
For working parents (6 a.m.-6 p.m.) Monday-Friday, Breakfast, lunch, snack and rest time included.
•4K/Head Start Classes in Collaboration w/School Districts
7 hours, 4 days a week, breakfast, lunch, snack and rest time included.
